Chris Stokes is a freelance photographer based between North London and Essex. Chris’s personal work casts an eye on finding the beauty and unexpected in the mundane and overlooked. Commercially, his work aims to tell stories though portraiture, often spending time in peoples’ homes to draw out detail from their environment.

A former student of film, much of his work borrows from cinema stylistically and in approach, drawing on mise en scene to help thread a narrative and to set a tone.

Chris is also owner and founder of Dirt Studio, a creative design business, and can sometimes be caught performing on stage on London’s comedy circuit.
