This time I’ve entered E4′s Esting Competition! It’s a 10-second, short sharp ‘sting’ for E4 to use in their ad breaks. I’ve gone for a sort of 2001: Space Odyssey kinda look using a lightbox and some dollshouse furniture. The winner of course gets their Esting shown on-air on E4!

Thanks to everyone who voted for our film Inception – you got us through to the final five!

Last night all five contenders were screened at AMC Broadway and a winner picked by a panel of judges from Kerrang Radio, AMC and Broadway Plaza. I’m very pleased to say WE WON!! It was a great night – Swede It vids, Be Kind Rewind and then an after show party hanging out with the Kerrang and Broadway gang, music supplied by Scratch Radio, booze and food supplied by Broadway Casino! And goodie bags galore!! In the end it was just great watching it on the big screen!

Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way, couldn’t have done it without ya! And who knows, maybe there’ll be a sequel!!

Flatpack is an annual festival held in venues throughout Birmingham, screening a whole army of shorts, films, animations and oddities starting from 23 March until 27 March 2011. The fest consists of a series of different events, so take a look and see if any tickle your fancy, some are even free!

If you’re in town and fancy saying hello, I’ll be watching Man in a Cat among others (inc Sky Attack) as part of the Shorts on the Wall event on 24 March from 6.30.

]]> I’ve been busy this week and last planning and shooting my entry for the Swede It! competition running at Broadway Plaza! I don’t wanna give away which filme I’ve chosen to Swede, but it’s already over the 2:30 time limit so I might have to release a director’s cut too!

It’s a cool competition, prizes include a camera, cinema tickets and your film shown on the big screen! It’s not too late to get involved, deadline is 20th of March and the winners are chosen by an online vote.
