New Equipment!
Ysssss!
I have a new DSLR – and the best part is that it records HD! So far I’ve just been testing it and getting to grips, but it really is a nice a bit of kit. I hope to use it when recording future sketches or short films, which annoyingly means I’ll probably need a shoulder rig as DSLR’s aren’t traditionally shaped to combat camera shake.
Unfortunately they don’t come cheap!
That’s why I’m considering building one myself. The style I’m most fond is the RedRock shoulder mount, and it also seems quite straightforward. So it’s off to B&Q tomorrow to see if the $1000+ price tag is justified or whether I can start rustling something up on the cheap! I’ll also be picking up some screws for my Depth of Field Adaptor, which leaves me waiting for my 55-60mm step up ring, which should be arriving from China soon. Fingers crossed.
